FSYMCA Rules & Regulations

Youth Policy

  • Youth ages 10-11 may only use the Cardiovascular equipment in the wellness area after completing the Older Youth Strength Training Orientation. After completing this orientation they must wear a tag that will be available at the Welcome Center Desk.

  • Youth ages 12-15 may only use the Cardiovascular and/or pin-select equipment in the wellness area after completing the Older Youth Strength Training Orientation. After completing this orientation they must wear a tag that will be available at the Welcome Center Desk.

  • For their safety, children under 16 years old may not use the free weight area.

  • For their safety, children under the age of 10 are not allowed in the Wellness Area.

 

Fitness Center Etiquette

  • Shirts, athletic shorts or pants, and athletic shoes are required. NO jeans or denim. NO open-toed shoes. Remember we are a family facility as well as a Christian facility, so please make sure clothing is appropriate.

  • Please do not drop weights.

  • Please re-rack weights when finished.

  • Please be CARING. Let others work in when doing multiple sets.

  • Please be RESPONSIBLE and wipe down equipment when you are finished using the machine.

  • Please be RESPONSIBLE. Water must be in sealed containers. Other food and drink is prohibited.

  • Please RESPECT others. Do not bring your cell phones in the Wellness Area. If they are in use they may interfere with the heart rate monitors.

  • Personal items, such as clothes, bags, books etc are not to be left in the wellness center while working out. Please place them in the locker room facilities.

  • Exercise your FAITH. May God bless your effort to grow in Spirit, Mind, and Body.

 

Cardio Equipment Etiquette

  • Please RESPECT others. Abide by the 30 minute time limit on cardio machines when people are waiting.

  • If you start to feel weak slow down, get off the machine and alert a YMCA staff member.


** RESPECT the staff they have final authority over the Wellness Area. **
